Some argue that as long as a particular method is helpful, biblical counselors can utilize it as a neutral in their counseling system. The question often posed is, “What resources can we incorporate into counseling before it becomes integration?” This booklet aims to answer this question to define and clarify the boundaries in biblical counseling methodology and encourage believer counselors to trust and depend on God’s sufficient means of ministry in soul care.
Keith Evans is Associate Professor of Christian Counseling at Reformed Theological Seminary in Charlotte, North Carolina. He is married to Melissa, and they have four daughters. He earned his PhD in biblical counseling at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky.
