For many biblical counselors, abuse cases are intimidating. Seeking out resources and guidance on how to best minister to people in these situations is wise, but discernment is necessary. Many of these approaches, like the Duluth Model, have secular and therapeutic origins and advance principles that are at odds with biblical teaching. This booklet examines the foundational tenets of the Duluth Model and demonstrates its incompatibility with God’s Word.
