Lisa became a Christian in the summer of 1991. She and her husband, Mike have been married since 1993 and have four children, two biological and two adopted from Ethiopia. Their family belongs to the Bible Presbyterian Church in Grand Island, New York. They serve as ACBC certified biblical counselors, Marriage and Family workshop teachers, and have also taught Junior Church for children in grades K-5. In addition to being a biblical counselor, Lisa also teaches Ladies Bible Study and speaks at women’s events, retreats, and conferences.
Her educational background includes a dual Bachelor’s degree in Elementary and Special Education, along with a Master’s degree as a Reading Specialist. She has also been an ACBC certified biblical counselor since 2007. She worked as an Elementary/Special Education Teacher and Reading Specialist for seven years before she and Mike had their first child. Since then, she has enjoyed serving the Lord primarily at home as a wife and mother, but also as a Bible Study Teacher, Biblical Counselor, and conference speaker for women.
