Counseling and Controversy

Counseling and Controversy: A Discussion on Recent Disagreements. An interview with Dr. Heath Lambert

Christians in the counseling world are in the midst of some strong and serious disagreements right now. It is heartbreaking to see people who love Jesus and the Bible disagree about anything, much less about how to care for hurting people.

I want to do my best to bring clarity to this conversation, and play some part in resolving the dispute. In order to do that, I want to invite you to a “town hall” meeting at 8:00pm (EST) on Monday night, October 30, on Facebook live

Where ever you are in the world, I want to invite you to ask your questions and raise your concerns.

Nothing is off limits, and I will only answer hard questions.

Please pray for clarity and for peace to prevail, and then join us on Monday night. If you would like to submit a question, you can use this form.

Thanks so much for your willingness to do this! My frustration is seeing the same objections to biblical counseling recycled as if they have never been answered. I wonder if you might reference or even read briefly from articles/books where common objections have been addressed. This might help ground your answers in written material just as you have sought to do in critiquing other counselors. Praying for clarity and peace!
